When I return from business trips I often carry business cards from my meetings and contacts. Often I will enter this information by hand into my contact management application.

I prefer to search for files visually by opening folders by opening and browsing though folders on my PC. MS Windows makes this easier by providing thumbnails images of files displayed through the Windows Explorer. However, I have noticed that PDF files do not display as thumbnail images in MS Windows.
Being able to visually search images in a folder is critical to successful every day use. PDF image files created by ScanSnap are visible as "thumbnails" through the Windows Explorer. You can freely browse thumbnails as you would any other file stored in the without needing to launch the application.
