Is anyone using Vista in their office or at home?  And if so, what are your thoughts?  Have you noticed a big difference from your previous operating system?  We're upgrading our systems and would be grateful for feedback

A very good friend has advised me to wait at least a year before upgrading.  He works in IT and as yet has never been proved wrong about trends etc.

If your company is ready to upgrade now, then I guess it would be prudent to get the latest software, however, if it's for home use, there are still some glitches/bug that need ironing out and it's best to wait for the SP1 to be issued.

Our IT department has also taken a "wait and see" attitutude for our computers here at work.  They also recommended that people do the same with their home computers.

Our office does the same thing Spitfire, anytime new software comes out from Microsoft, they always are a couple of versions behind, let all the bugs get worked out first, then we'll see about upgrading if it benefits our office.

Yes, IT has learned the hard way unfortunately.  There are almost always bugs and glitches in new versions.  So, they now recommend waiting at least a few months to let someone else have the problems!  Of course, there's always some yahoo that just can't wait and doesn't listen and then goes whining to IT to "fix it"!
