I know the UK doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving but for the US it is a day to remember all the things we are thankful for. So many times we take most of what we have for granted. (oh it is also a day of good food, turkey, football, parades and more!).
So I just wanted to post regardless of where you live, take a minute to think about what you are thankful for.

Great idea Susan. I'm thankful for several things, first and foremost, family, friends. Second, a great job and a wonderful working environment. Our staff just came back in from a nice long walk at lunch time, and it's the immediate group that I work with, we laugh and have a grand time chatting and just picking on each other in the worst way at our walks. I've been with this company for 9 years and learned a whole lot and still learning all the time, which makes for a never boring office. Good health to everyone, and looking forward to a bright 2007! And blessings to my MIL who will turn 85 the day after Christmas. May she stay healthy. Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow enjoying their Thanksgiving holiday. We'll be having a very traditional dinner at my house for the first time ever anywhere! LOL! Hope and pray we don't loose power and no one is sick. Serving dinner for 8 tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for my family, two great kids. I love my job, it is the best I have ever had. I have my parents still around and I am thankful for that. Tomorrow there will be 17 people for dinner at my parents, even though our family will only make up 6 of those spots! There will be 2 other families joining us. I am thankful for my friends. I look at what I just typed and realize it is my relationships that mean most to me.

Ditto for me - great kids and grand kids, wonderful hubby, friends and co-workers.
The company hubby works for has been sold, so after the first of the year we're probably going to be facing alot of changes. But until then, we both have regular paychecks, groceries in our cabinets, a roof over our head, good health and all the comforts of home. So much to be thankful for!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

First of all my family - we had a few scares with my father this year, and I am just immensely grateful that he is celebrating Thanksgiving with us!
Secondly - good health. I had a nasty accident a few months ago and was extremely fortunate to come out of it with no major injuries.
Thirdly - my job. A new job - one I have longed for for so many years I don't know if I could count. Been in it about a month, and so far it is everything I could have wanted. More money, less hours, a much less stressful and hectic pace, wonderful people to work for and with, and eventually more responsibility and lots of learning possibilities.
LIFE IS GOOD!

Gratitude is very important and I sometimes wish we had a "Thanksgiving Day" here in England (but I am aware of the history of the US thanksgiving).
I am grateful for:
the gift of life: it's my birthday today (HAppy birthday to me. HAppy birthday to ME ...); the gift of good health (I've had some difficulties in recent years, so I really appreciate good health); the gift of living in a country where I have freedom, and freedom of speech; my family; my friends; my job; chocolate.
