Overall... there's nothing that I just love to do or absolutely hate. Just depends on how the days going and how I'm feeling.

Your boss 8 Answering phones 3 Planning Meetings 8 Co Workers 10 Special Projects 8 Filing 5 Your computer 10 Putting out daily fires 8 Maintaining Schedules 0 I'm lucky in that in my new position I enjoy all my co-workers, have minimal filing and what I do have isn't as dragging as what I used to have as filing. Daily fires are of my own making most of the time, or are such that for what we admins are normally used to they can't really be considered "fires", and there are no schedules to maintain (yippee!). But my computer and I love each other, as I literally couldn't do my job without it. I work on processing awards for veterans, and all of the programs I have to use are electronic, no hardcopy way of doing it, so without my pc I'd be sitting without a job. And the only meetings I have to plan right now are those for our teams luncheons, where we all agree on a theme and sign up for what we're to bring. Not stressing at all! Man, do I just love my new job!! I finally found my niche, so it appears currently. CountriGal Peer Moderator

Your boss – 10 (in the couple of months I’ve been here, he has ousted my previous favourite, for whom I’d worked for 10 years) Answering phones – 9
Planning Meetings – 2 (not so bad in itself, but some people seem to go out of their way not to be available!)
Co Workers – 4 (some of them are just fine but the majority of those I have to deal with are definitely hormonal and it can get pretty toxic & cliquey just along the corridor. I’m glad I work on my own on a different floor!)
Special Projects – 7
Filing – 1 (I inherited 6 filing cabinets when I came here – slowly getting to grips with them including the mountain of filing left by my predecessor!)
Your computer – 3 (love it when it works, hate it when it doesn’t)
Putting out daily fires – 6 (don't get too many fires in this job, unlike my last!)
Maintaining Schedules – 5

Your boss - 9 Answering phones - 2 Planning Meetings - 1 Co Workers - 9 Special Projects - 10 (unless "special" is a code word for "grunt work") Filing - 3 Your computer - 5 Putting out daily fires - 10 if I know what to do, 1 if I don't Maintaining Schedules - NA (my bosses all do their own) I like the "fires" most of the time, because that's when someone really needs me and I can do a lot of good. Sometimes there are fires I can't handle because I lack knowledge, skill or access, and that's highly unpleasant. Edited by dettu on 28/07/06 02:53 PM.

Your boss - 9. He is really a good egg.
Answering phones - 7? (Depends...when it's a pleasant customer I love it; when it's an angry or grumpy one, not so much!)
Planning Meetings - N/A - don't plan meetings
Co Workers - 8 - most of them are nice, and fun to work with...just a couple pesky ones.
Special Projects - 9 - they are usually interesting and help break up the routine.
Filing - 1 - need I say I hate filing? It's boring and hard on your fingers!
Your computer - 9 - just got a new one that's heaps faster!
Putting out daily fires - 7 - I actually really like this aspect of my job, mostly when I'm successful of course! (NOT so much when it's too last-minute or my efforts get sabotaged by others dropping the ball!)
Maintaining Schedules - 6 - This is sort-of part of my job, though not in a traditional sense--the schedules I "maintain" have more to do with when containers are ordered, freight picked up, etc.
