the whole reason you can do it while writing the 6 backwards is that you are then moving in a clock-wise direction when writing.  The 6 written correctly goes counter-clockwise and is why the difficulty.
I know, because I've sat here for several minutes trying to get the darn thing to work right.  (man is this productive or what?! )  I'm normally very good at these type of drills (mind over matter type of things) and can normally get them working appropriately, but this one has me stumped.  I love it!  Thanks for sharing Peana!
