...like filing. To me, filing is like being told to concentrate on a dot in the middle of a blank page. To make matters worse, I tend to be a creative/conceptual type, not a detail type. I feel your mental pain! I don't have an easy answer. It's almost like doing mental yoga or something. I've had to really work on developing a mental discipline to be able to keep concentrating on those things that bore me to death. Ugh!
Hopefully, they're just seeing how you can "fit in" and who knows? maybe a crisis will arise that will allow you to SHINE in all your administrative glory!
My escape is to get something REALLY GOOD and THICK to read during my lunch and breaks. And I love it when PBS is showing something really cool. I've also gotten back into singing in a choir. (Nothing like reading music and watching a director to get the ol' noggin going.) Whatever it is that gets your brain snapping, do it at every opportunity to hold you through those dry times.
