My all time favorite was definitely Delores Landingham...executive assistant to the President in West Wing.  She's the EA that I aspire to be.  Totally unflappable, totally loyal, always on top of everything, always respectful yet not taking any guff even from the President.

I was always sorry they killed her off.  She was a great character.
