I know where I am and where I have worked I have had to use "holiday party," I was wondering if this is true for the UK as well? Do you have to be politically correct or can you still have a "Christmas Party?"

Definitely as Gee says.
There have been attempts in recent years to rename Christmas something perfectly extraordinary such as "Winterval". Christmas, whether some people appreciate it or not, is a festival that celebrates the birth of Christ.
