We talked about this when I was part of the IAAP organization.  I really enjoyed the networking and informational meetings, but things became too busy for me at home, so I had to drop out last year.

Since some of us already had 4-year college degrees, we thought it would have been silly to include the certification in our title block, so we elected not to include it.  Others did not have such degrees, so they felt they wanted to add the designation.  It's a matter or personal preference.
