ITALIAN PASTA DIET

IT REALLY WORKS !!

1) You walka pasta da bakery.
2) You walka pasta da candy store.
3) You walka pasta da Ice Cream shop.
4) You walka pasta da table and fridge.

Also
CONCERNED ABOUT TOO MANY CARBS IN YOUR DIET?
For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health.
It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting medical studies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

4. The Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

CONCLUSION:

Eat and drink what you like.
Being American is what kills you.

So what happens if your half Italian, LOL!  I LOVE THIS !  All those low carb diets that were out last year I think have taperd off.  About time!  Now, if we can just learn that all things fit and everything in moderation.    I wish it were that easy.  Thanks for a much needed laugh.

Diamondlady...

Doesn't count if you're 1/2 Italian... you're all American and that's what kills.  Like that commercial that is airing in the US, selling PuertoRican Rum... or some such... "Just imagine if we took life as seriously as you do..."  American's take life seriously, live with stress and more stress as a standard, unlike most other countries that allow a better balance (though unfortunately the rest of the world is starting to catch on to the American "ideals").  Hence, the higher heart attack rate and at younger ages.  The key, learn to relax and unwind as much as possible, take things less seriously, and live longer -- so you can pass along that stress to your kids.

Thanks for sharing.  I love the jokes!  Especially the "Pasta" one.  Now if I could just implement that instead of the "stoppa" diet... where I stoppa in  here and there for a nibble.

Now that one I like... and can do.  I've already hada snickers this morning (not good to have chocolate the first thing in your tummy of a morning!) and it appears that this will be one of those chocolate days.  Who needs a healthy salad for lunch?  Me, I'll halva that supersized chocolate bar.

Liked this and pasta very much.  However just before Christmas I decided that as my clothes were a little too tight (altho I'm not overweight), I would try and cut out the carbs!  Boy did it work.  Even not drinking coffee made a difference plus the fact that I was out walking at lunchtimes  and weekends doing Christmas shopping.  I was actually amazed at the difference made by taking those steps as clothes I could not wear before now fit quite nicely.

Tips - if you start to eat less, your body will get used to how much food you intake.  I have a small bowl of cereal for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch and maybe cereal again for tea.  I don't eat in between meals (never did) and don't eat sweets or crisps (never did either).  In the evenings now when I go home I feel I have eaten enough for the day and only have a snack.  It is advised to eat more at lunctimes than in the evenings anyway.

Just read the above postings and thought I would reply.  (Please note I do still eat pasta although now it's only maybe once a week instead of 2 or 3 times).
