And since you asked - I have a different way of answering it... I would have said something like 'Anytime I find myself with a duty that's uninteresting, I do what I can to make it more interesting for myself. Either way the job gets done.'
I like to show my willingness for change. In fact, I love - even strive - on change. I'm one of the few people I know that literally hates to do things just because 'that's the way they've always been done'. To the simple... if it's always done facing the east, why don't we face the west and do it. Why? Just because, just to see if it works the same then. In interviews I like to show this trait but play it in a way that doesn't make me a rebel but an assett. (Of course, I've always applied for and worked in areas where change is expected so this quality is watched for.)
