Also realise that when some of the laws were written, it was back when the richest were the law makers. So if their was only one "richie" in your town, he got to make the laws his way. Maybe he found it an affront to his sensibilities if someone put ice cream on cherry pie. We think a little differently now, and more and more folks are educated and voting on laws and watching what is passed, but just imagine what folks will think a hundred years from now about some of our laws.
Another example of extinct laws... In one of the northeastern states it's against the law to tie your horse up on the right side of the street. Law is still on the books. Wonder why the right side and not the left... hmmm.... Just a little random trivia for everyone.
