He is like me then, simply likes to write in blue - just a little harmless foible - Hope he found one 
A quiet thought - if life is too short to worry about pens and ink when there is so much else going on in the world, why take time to post about what you see as this chap's daily awkwardness? Ridiculing him by calling him a numptie is unkind, who knows what is going on in his personal world that causes him to act like this.
Perhaps we should all let the small things go unmentioned and concentrate on the bigger things that we can change that is wrong in the (our) world.
