Living in a foreign country is by far the best way to learn the language, I lived in Holland as a child and went to a dutch school, within only a few months we (me and my sisters) could speak it fluently, unfortunately a lot is now forgotten.  

How did you get on with the Irish accent?

Where in Spain do you live?  My mother lives in Ducquesa near Sotogrande on the south coast.
