Our township has a recycling center at the township building. We can recycle glass and plastic bottles and metal cans, newspapers, print material and packages such as cereal boxes, and cardboard. I do wish we could recycle styrofoam and batteries.
I have two lights in the house on timers that run for several hours a day each. In both of those lights I have the energy efficient compact fluroescent bulbs. However, I do not have them in any other lamps in the house nor do I intend to get them because I don't like to read by that light.
I'm sure I could do a lot more. I need to look around and think about it and see what else I can do.
