I have just come across a very good website that deals specifically with organisation in the office and at home.

It has some very good free tips on it which may be useful to Deskdemon users.

You can find it at www.onlineorganizing.com

Certainly worth a look!

and there's also   http://www.flylady.com,  who not only gives great tips, but also emails you to nag you about stuff,,, be wary though you get a TON of email if you sign up, however some of it is useful.

I signed up for flylady for a week - mistakenly I went for the daily emails but even a daily digest of them all would be more than enough.  And actually, if you spend all the time reading them, you don't have the time - well I didn't! - to put into operation what she suggested.  Also it was a bit schoolmarmish at times!  Needless to say I no longer get her emails.  There is another site quite similar to the other mentioned above (in name), quite similar to flylady but less schoolmarm, they just mail occasionally and if I have time I read, and if I don't, I delete without a second thought or qualm!

Jackie

Is Flylady anything like "Get Organised" which I have been making use of for domestic tranquility and general organisation?  It has some really good charts and stuff of things that ought to get done in any specific month and in which order to get the most out of it all as well as a whole load of other goodies.

Yes, in fact I also subscribed to Get Organised at the same time as Fly Lady and find their emails etc much less intrusive in my life.  Whether or not I follow the advice contained in the e-newsletters is another matter!!!

I'm not quite sure how good those of-the-shelf templates and letters are. They haven't helped me much so far, and I found it a lot more helpful to sit back, think of what needs doing, and do my own To-Do-Lists, templates, letters etc. After a while, they need updating, of course, when the situation/personnel/contact details change.
