Jess, you made me smile! I programmed my number into my parents' phone, thinking that would make it easier for them. Many months later, I mentioned it, and they were both surprised - neither one even remembered that I had done it. I reminded them, but my guess is that they still don't use it.
At home, my parents' number is the only one I have on speed dial because I call them every evening.
At work, although speed dial is an option, I don't use it. I find I can dial the numbers faster than trying to remember which phone number belongs to which speed dial number.
