I just saw Pirates of the Carribean and saw Shrek last week.  I was wondering what movies (if you go to the movies) are people looking foward to this summer.  The next movie I am willing to pay to see will be the new Harry Potter.  I usually wait until I can get a movie on demand or though my Netflix.  There were a few others movies, but I just can't think of what they were at the moment.

Like you, we usually rent DVD's and save trips to the theater for "big" movies--usually in the summer. We're looking forward to the Silver Surfer. Harry Potter looks good and of course The Simpsons Movie (a bit of a "guilty pleasure" but I know my bro' will be totally into going!) Oh, and DH insists that he wants to see the Transformers movie! I suppose that will be okay!

I think the Transformers is a "guy" movie but I bet it will be big, every guy I know wants to see it.

I guess we'll go and see Pirates at some point.  The kids want to see Shrek 3 and Bridge to Terabithia.

I'm not the biggest film fan.  I sit in front of a screen all day and so watching TV or cinema doesn't appeal to me at all.  Give me a good book anyday.

We just saw Shrek and will probably see Pirates, although I'm not all that interested in that one.  I would really like to see the Simpsons Movie, but it comes out a week after I am due with baby, so I will probably have to wait for DVD for that one!  The only one that caught my eye this summer so far was Shrek, and that was a bit of a disappointment.

We saw Pirates and Spiderman 3. Hubby is insisting that we go see Transformers. We'll likely go see Silver Surfer and Simpsons too. There were a few others out that looked good but I can't remember what they were. Looks like a big year for movies!

I wouldn't mind seeing Spiderman 3, but will probably wait til it comes out on DVD.  I've heard it's a long movie and more of a love story this time around?  Is that the case?

Otherwise, we are more into Turner Classic Movie channel and all the old movies.  Some good, most bad, and some that are classics regardless.

Took hubby to see Pirates of the Carribean 3 yesterday for his birthday and during the trailers saw a few more I would like to see including Transformers, Fantastic 4, Rataouille and Harry Potter. It does seem a big year for movies but will probably wait until they come out on DVD or Sky as I don't think the Bank Manager will like me spending all my money at the cinema.

Saw Shrek 3 this past weekend - we liked it, but did seem to be lacking in something, not quite sure what though.

Kidlet wants to see Ratoulli & Nancy Drew.  Since I read the Nancy Drew series as a kid, I'm looking forward to seeing how they get translated to film.

Boyfriend wants to see Pirates of the Carribean, I have no desire to see it in the theatre, would rather wait for it to be out on dvd and get it through NetFlix - if my son hasn't seen it (my daughter saw it when she was at her dad's a cpl of weekends ago) then they'll see it while I take kidlet to see Nancy Drew or Surf's Up.

I'm looking forward to seeing Transformers and Fantastic 4 - but unless everyone in the family wants to see them... will probably wait for NetFlix to have them.

It costs so much for movies now-a-days... not really worth the money when it's cheaper to buy it on dvd.

Just saw Pirates and while I liked it - it's very long and needs an intermission (large sode and lots of ocean scenary).  Oh and stay for the part after the credits!
Shrek III, Harry Potter (can't wait for the book vii)
DVD Nancy Drew (read way too many of the books to not see this), Ratatouille

DD saw Pirates and said it was good.  I'm going to try to go soon, as she went with friends and it's just not cool for your mom to be at the theatre when you're there with friends (she's 14, need I say more!!)
We're also wanting to see Harry Potter.

We have looked forward to a lot of movies this summer. My husband and I are huge comic book movie fans (even though we're in our 30s!), so we have seen Spider-Man 3, Fantastic Four 2, Shrek 3, Pirates 3, plus some others like 1408 and Transformers (which we might see again). We will see Harry Potter this coming weekend. We have been lucky enough to find theaters that offer $4 tickets before noon on weekends, so we'll enjoy an 11:00 a.m. show and then go out for lunch!
