I'm at a point in my life where's I'm starting to see this "flip". My current boss is just about my age. Many of the other folks I report to are anywhere from 10 - 15 years younger than I am.
The funny thing is, most of the older workers in the department are the admins. The four of us range in age from early forties to mid fifties.
Honestly, I've yet to see age be an issue with our team. (With the exception of hot flashes and the need to order at least one pizza plain for those of us with aging digestive systems who can't eat they way we did in college!)
Of course, boss has put together a good team, and I don't think he's the type to tolerate any disrespect from anyone to anyone in his office.
