Now in its 5th year, Top Employers for Working Families shines a light on innovation in designing family-friendly and flexible work policies. The Special Awards recognise UK organisations that have developed successful policies and practices to support work-life balance and career development for working parents, carers and flexible workers.   All entrants first complete a benchmark survey on their policies and can then opt to enter one or more of the Special Awards.  For more information, go to: www.topemployersforworkingfamilies.org.uk

Sarah Jackson, Chief Executive of Working Families said: “The standard of entries for this year’s Top Employers for Working Families Special Awards has been exceptionally high.  The finalists clearly realise the value of supporting parents, carers and flexible workers and have developed inspiring and innovative policies and practices to do so.  It is this extra support which results in greater employee engagement and wellbeing which in turn leads to high performance and loyalty”.

Julian Foster, Managing Director of lead sponsor Computershare Voucher Services (CVS) adds: “Our heartfelt congratulations to the shortlisted companies who put so much emphasis on the needs and wellbeing of their employees. It’s our pleasure to continue our support for the Top Employers for Working Families Benchmark and Awards. We’ve just seen yet another year of childcare costs rising well beyond earnings. Anything employers can do to help dedicated staff shoulder that burden should be praised.”
