A4e and the Work Programme provides unique recruitment opportunities

A4e is working closely with thousands of businesses all over the UK, to successfully deliver the Work Programme and help more people find and keep a job. Employers will be able to recruit for roles at all levels through A4e, making the search for the best candidates for jobs quicker, cheaper and more effective.

A4e is committed to supporting customers into sustainable jobs which take into account their skills and requirements, and helping establish life-long links between employers and their local communities. A4e’s services under the Work Programme will highlight local talent and employability across a vast array of working experiences, making it easier for businesses to find the right person for the right job, at the right time.

Stacy Winstanley, Resourcing Consultant for E.on, says:

“A4e’s expertise to reach out and support both their customers and E.on is second to none. It’s impressed us how close A4e is to their customers; it’s not a numbers game, it’s about the individual.”

The focus of the Work Programme is ‘Job First’, an idea which ensures that customers get into work as soon as they are able, and are then supported for as long as they need in order to stay in work. A4e works hand-in-hand with employers across multiple sectors and industries to maintain this level of support during an employee’s working experience, and respond to any challenges which arise.

Helen Hellas, Director of Employer Solutions at A4e says:

“As a free recruitment partner, A4e reduces the risks associated with resourcing by creating innovative responses to problems we’ve encountered whilst getting our customers ready for work. This could be in the form of a ‘work trial’, for example, which is a working interview which allows the customer to see if they enjoy the job, and – crucially – gives the employer the chance to assess their suitability directly.”

A4e anticipates supporting as many as 100,000 customers in the first year of the Work Programme, and working with national and regional business partners - such as WH Smith, E.on and Vue Cinemas - to successfully fill vacant jobs across the country.
