Before, one should consider, seeking to become a leader, it's essential to know, and better understand, what the PLACE of a leader, should, and must be! Instead of proceeding, in an ill - informed manner, and failing to fully consider, all the necessities, and priorities, which are required, wouldn't it make sense, to learn, as much as possible, sooner, rather than later. One of the reasons, for the apparent, dearth of quality, real leadership, is, insufficient training and preparation, in the essentials, of leading, as effectively, as possible. With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it matters.

1. Priorities; planning; presentation; purposes/ preferences: What purposes, one serves, often depends, on his personal preferences, and commitment/ discipline, to proceed, in accordance with the priorities of the specific group, rather than any personal/ political agenda, and/ or, self - interest! To best know, how to proceed, requires effective leadership training, and relevant planning, and an ability to provide and articulate a motivating, inspiring presentation, to those, one serves and represents!

2. Listen; learn; leading: Since no one has all the answers, no matter how well - intentioned, and/ or, prepared, it's essential to, consistently, effectively listen, and learn, from every conversation, and experience, to address concerns and perceptions, and exceed expectations, consistently! Isn't this, what should be the essence and core of quality leading?

3. Attitude; aptitude; attention; articulate; action: It takes a true, positive, can - do, attitude, combined with a well - developed, relevant, aptitude, and skill - set, to create the finest leaders! Will you pay keen attention, and have the self - confidence, and inner fortitude, to articulate an inspiring, motivating message to actual, as well as potential stakeholders? However, unless you proceed, forward, willing to take well - considered, strategic action, and perceive and conceive of, create, develop, and implement the finest action plan, you won't achieve, to the best of your abilities!


4. Character; cooperation; clarity: It takes someone, with the true, quality of character, and a willingness to prioritize cooperation, for the greater good, and seek a meeting - of - the - minds, to proceed, with the degree of clarity, which often, differentiates the finest leaders, from the rest - of - the - pack!

5. Empathy; efforts; excellence; endurance; enrich: Genuine empathy comes from proceeding with maximum personal efforts, and demanding the ultimate degree of genuine, personal excellence. Since there are always obstacles, thrust in one's path, smart leadership comes from proceeding with endurance, and a commitment to enrich the group, and stakeholders, one serves and represents!
