I'm know job titles are little different across the pond... My thoughts on Department coordinator: what is the job description?
I personally would not apply for a position with that job title because to me it sounds more gopher than admin. My last thought would be about the progression of my resume for a person just starting out a coordinator position might seem attractive, for my two cents anyone with senior level skills would by pass the position. In other words I would think succession planning not just the current person filling the role.
