I work from 8:30 - 5 with a 1/2 hour lunch that I rarely take.

Boss usually gets in after me, but stays later.  As long as my commute is, his is longer by half so trafficwise it makes sense for him to avoid the main rush hours.  He also has the capacity to work from home, so it's not unusual for me to see emails from him from 7AM.

I don't mind coming in early, but really do everything in my power to avoid staying late.  Boss is good about that and only asks (asks, not demands) it in a true emergency.  At that, I've never had to hang around for more than 1/2 hour.
