Speed dials are horrid.  I don't have them, won't use them and cannot stand it

Why? When my parents try to be 'with-it' and use them because they invariable telephone me then telephone someone else, wanting to talk to, say, uncle john or aunty pam or either of my two brothers but not me 'again'.  They apologise then do it at least three more times before putting their glasses on and pressing the correct speed dial button.  It is even worst when I am out and they leave long messages to same - what am I? their secretary or their daughter?  Just hate the retched thing!!! (thanks for the vent - have wanted to get that one off my chest for a long long time!)
