Is there an advantage of a list serve over a message board or forums? I'm members of both for various groups, and I find list serves quite annoying. Getting a digest every day (or numerous e-mails one by one), having to pick through the whole thing to find what I'm interested in, and the retrieval system is archaic. I like message boards and forums so much better as I am able to just click on the subject that interests me and read all of those messages back and forth in a flat format. That said, Yahoo Groups doesn't have a "flat" view option, which I find slightly annoying.
