Correct me if I'm wrong please, but your bosses are men aren't they?  And its obvious they have no clue of what it takes for you to get your job done.  



Have you tried pointing out to them that you will not always be readily available to answer questions while you are out?  There are going to be days that you are so tired physically and emotionally just from adjusting to having a new baby that you will not be mentally capable to train over the phone.  Maybe they think that that would be an option.   Also, ask them if they have considered that whoever is sent to train for the one day may not be available when its time for you to leave.  A lot of temps are looking for full-time work and if this one takes a job between now and then, what do they plan to do?
