My bosses don't want any type of sales calls going through to them. So, when they call, I usually just tell them Mr. _____ is not available and they usually hang up on me. As for calls that come in from companies checking on my copier, I tell them we don't have one. We only deal with one local copier company and they always identify themselves when they call.

When I get the calls from people "updating their records" I usually just tell them they'll need to fax or mail something.

My most favorite program to work with is Print Shop. I don't get to use it at my job as a secretary, but I use it at home quite frequently. I love desktop publishing and this program suits my needs perfectly!

My 2nd most favorite program that I use at work daily is Excel. I am always learning new things with this program.

Co workers from company - we exchange names so we only need to get a gift for 1 person each year and give them at our little Christmas party.

Co workers on a personal level - I usually hand make something for 2 or 3 people that I work with. Last year I made quilted coasters, this year I made snowflake ornaments.

Boss - I have 4 bosses, so we all chip in together and get them each a $25 Jos A. Banks gift card.

Clients - We don't buy for clients...thank goodness! If we did, I would be the one in charge of figuring out what to get them...I don't want to do that.

I never used to use it, but have started to use bc for certain things. For example, I send out a monthly "tax alert" to our clients. The first time I sent it, I put all the email addy's in the To field. Well, clients called and asked that I use bc so that none of the other people on the mailing list would see their address.

I eat at my desk almost every day in the winter time. In the summer, however, I try to get out as much as I can.

My work piles up until I get back.  In the summer it's really no big deal though...I work for an accounting firm and we are slow during the summer.  Before I leave, I always check with everybody to make sure there is nothing with a deadline before I'm scheduled to return.
