Thanks for all of your replies. Believe me, I know from other AA friends that having an office is out of the ordinary.
The office will later go to a marketing rep. They should have an office but still I know I will feel a "bite" when after 1 1/2 yrs I am booted for a new person. I can't help it.
I would most likely get a desk only in a hallway on the second level of a small office. My boss is currently two doors over.
It's a ways off and I will not dwell on it. I appreciate your positive comments as I am new to this whole thing.

Hello,
I've worked as an exec assistant in a temp position. I recently applied for a permanent job on my own as an AA. After 3 interviews I was offered an AA permanent part-time position.
During the second interview I was told that I would be taking the spare office. At the final interview her boss informed me that while I would be using the office to start, I would be moved to a "comfortable spot" (or hallway desk) in about 1 1/2 yrs.
This does not seem fair. If I stay with them for that long and do a good job why should I be kicked out for a new person? I guess I'm just the assistant and being part-time I am less than important?
Your probably thinking,,,"why are you worrying about this now" right? I feel having an office to myself is more than I had imagined. It was really exciting to me. I know I will be upset when I have to move.
Any positive responses appreciated.

General Discussion / Admins 4 Admins / Do I need benefits in writing?

Hi,
I haven't had a new job in so long I've forgotten those finer points. I will be working 20 hrs a week.
I was told I would get 40hrs vacation and about 4 sick days she figured. There are no other benefits
Do I need to have this in writing before accepting?
How should I ask in a tactful way?
