No, I'm from Virginia.  Our state DOT has been going through some changes over the past 5 years (structure and practices).  A lot of the higher ups have changed the past few years and the Gov. has tightened the reigns on their budget somet his past year.  I knew about the hiring freeze, but the job sounded to good not to apply for.  Since I have a job now, I can afford to wait.  I'm just bored where I am (company workload is fine overall, just mine has diminished due to how our largest project is being managed).  I've got my fingers crossed and keep telling myself, if its the right job, things will work out.
