I have a few people traveling to the UK next week. Can anyone tell me how they would get from Heathrow Airport to Coventry. They will not be driving, and would like to take the railway, but I'm not sure which one, etc. In addition, they need to return from Coventry to London. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, paula~

Hi there!
Firstly, there may be a London Underground strike from Tues 24th Sept 8pm to Wed 25th Sept 8pm, so be warned; this will no doubt affect the journey around Central London. There may also be a high demand on taxis as an alternative transport method.
If the visitors are not travelling on these dates, they can take the Heathrow Express Shuttle train from Heathrow Airport (I think it's about £20 return) to Paddington station in Central London. The trains run every 15mins and the journey lasts about 25mins. From Paddington, they can take the Underground as follows: Hammersmith & City line to Euston Square. This should take about 15mins. Walk across to Euston train station and get a direct train to Coventry from there. Services are run by Virgin and would probably take about 1 1/2 hrs.
Best of luck! Nathalie

lets you enter times and stations to and from and gives you trains. Don't ignore the pop up window: as Nathalie says, a bus or a taxi or the tube will need to be used at some point.

The Heathrow Express (HEX) is great. Journey time from the airport to Paddington is only 15 minutes so nice and fast.
