We are all open plan too.  I sometimes have to deal with confidential matters (salaries or other financial matters) and I use our meeting room in that case (ostensibly I had the phone installed there for telecon's but it works well for confidential matters as I can also move my laptop in there and still see the network and talk.

If I need to make a personal call I do the same thing but use my mobile usually.
