Holiday Inn Nespresso
Hi Everyone

Welcome to the March issue of What's New at DeskDemon! What a month this is turning out to be - International Women's Day on the 8th, the Budget due on 23rd, the census (possibly the last one) to be completed on the 27th, and of course the awful news from Japan following the devastating earthquake.

We'd love to hear your views on these and any issues, big or small, that are on your mind. So please get blogging, and be fully a part of the DeskDemon online community! Click HERE to create a new blog.

And remember - we are now on Facebook AND Twitter.

As usual we have a great line up of offers and competitions below, including great delegate rates at Marriott's Breadsall Priory Hotel, the chance to win a Nespresso Citiz coffee machine when you book meetings with Crowne Plaza or Holiday Inn, and you could still win designer shoes courtesy of Brother - but hurry! And if you complete a Kraft Foods questionnaire, a scrumptious coffee and chocolate goody bag could be on it's way to your office.

So let's take a look at What's New at DeskDemon this month!

New paternity rules are bad for business say SMEs
Britain’s SMEs are firmly against new paternity leave legislation, according to research. What PAs really think about their role highlighted in new survey
A new survey by Poolia recruitment specialists suggests that the recent credit crunch has heralded a new turning point in the role of the career PA. The results are fascinating and show that PAs are once again centre stage in the business, and in the lives of the person they assist, even if the rest of the company doesn’t yet see it and tends to undervalue them.
PAs are not only their boss's 'gatekeeper' but are also now privy to company secrets and more widely involved in company business.
