When Listening, Resist Distractions
Poor listeners are easily influenced by distractions, even in a face-to-face situation. A good listener instinctively and consciously fights distraction. Sometimes closing a door, turning off a radio or moving closer to the speaker easily does this. If not, then your concentration level has to be increased.
