How to Defragment Your PC (Windows XP)
Run the defragmenter utility, at least once every month or two. In Windows XP this can be done by:
- Go to Start menu
- Go to All Programs
- Locate the Accessories folder
- Go to the System Tools
- Select Disk Defragmenter.
- Click the Defragment button to defrag your system The defragmenter will help ensure that your files are located at the right place on the hard drive and should boost the overall speed of your computer.
