Travel resources a go-go at DeskDemon
Have you checked out the brand new Travel strand on DeskDemon? If not, you're missing a trick, says Travel Editor Bev Wright. With time-saving resources, expert tips, and up-to-the-minute features, it's a must for all travel bookers. Plus - the travel team at DeskDemon is looking for Hotel Reviewers… could it be you?

AeroplaneTravel organisers will welcome the latest category on the DeskDemon site, the Travel Strand, which brings together a host of resources under one umbrella, compiled by those who really understand the particular needs of the PA travel booker. At DeskDemon, we realise PAs and admins are constantly under pressure to save money and time, so we're building a truly useful travel resource section for everyone whose job entails booking travel for their team.

As well as offering easy links to hotels, airlines, car rental and train companies, the Travel Strand supplies you with ferry, flight and train schedules.

The site will also update you on travel alerts and destinations to be avoided, vaccination and visa requirements.

But that’s not all. DeskDemon has useful tools to help you convert currency, a world clock to ensure you don’t wake your boss by phoning at the crack of dawn, and a calendar with world holidays, so your travelling execs can make the most of their time abroad. Then, there are the country guides which include everything you'll ever need to know about the destination, and of course, embassy details, in case of emergencies.

The Travel Strand will keep you up to date with the latest news and information from the travel industry and we’re commissioning regular articles from well known and respected journalists, such as Travel Management Consultant, Graeme Payne. His experience alone, working with hundreds of major companies, airlines and government departments, can help you to manage your travel effectively, and we're sure his editorial features, tips and tricks will become a must read!

We'll also be featuring regular articles from DeskDemon users, giving the full PA experience. Check out the two excellent articles currently on the Travel Strand - "Thinking the trip" in which PA Gillian Thomas gives essential trip tips, and "The mobile executive" by Laurie Cooper from Australia, in which she outlines a comprehensive travel planning process for those supporting globetrotting execs.

Our Travel Tips section will be constantly updated, with useful hints for choosing the right hotel, selecting suitable flights, investigating routings, and lots more, all coming soon. So whether you're a regular travel booker, or an occasional trip organiser, you'll find invaluable help and advice at www.deskdemon.com/pages/uk/travel/index
