Success in Safety Awards for Tristar Worldwide

17 April: Chauffeur drive company recognised twice in Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents Awards 2013

Tristar Worldwide, one of the world’s leading chauffeur companies, has had its strength in occupational safety and health recognised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents in its annual awards for 2013.  Tristar received the Gold Award for Management of Road Risk (MORR) and the Silver Award for Occupational Health and Safety.   The Awards will be presented on May 16th 2013 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

Established in 1978, Tristar has owned operations on 3 continents and operates in over 80 countries globally.   They offer a broad range of ground transportation services but are best known for their exceptional airport transfer service.  Some of the largest and well-known brands worldwide choose Tristar for their value for money, highly reliable and safe service.  Their enviable reputation for quality and service is backed up by a strong emphasis on health and safety.

Dating back 57 years, the RoSPA Awards scheme is the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK.  It recognises commitment to accident and ill health prevention and is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas.   The scheme not only looks at accident records but also entrants’ overarching health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Commenting on the awards, Dean De Beer, Tristar Worldwide’s CEO said: “We are delighted that our commitment to health and safety has been recognised in these two prestigious awards. From the latest technology to driver training, delivering a safe and secure experience for our clients is at the very top of our priorities.”

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition.  Tristar Worldwide has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award.”

Since receiving the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade last April, the past year has been one of continuous achievement for Tristar as it develops its business around the globe.
