BMI Regional has held on to its position as the UK's most punctual scheduled airline, according to latest statistics from the Civil Aviation Authority.

The data taken from 35 scheduled airlines shows that 87.7 per cent of bmi Regional's flights between January and March departed on time.

The airline was named as the most punctual airline in the UK last year, a position which it has held for five consecutive years.
