Seven out of ten office workers admit they still use cables to connect a printer to their PC, despite having a Wi-Fi network in place, says Lexmark.
 

Research by the printer manufacturer revealed nearly a third (29 percent) think it's too difficult to set up their printers over the wireless network and 19 percent believe the connection won't be secure.
 

Furthermore, six percent admitted they don't use wireless so they don't have to share their printer with colleagues.
 

Of those that do use wireless networks to connect their PCs, nearly half (47 percent) said they share their printer with five or more colleagues.
 

"Companies are missing out on the financial and environmental benefits that wireless printing can bring. By implementing such technology, many companies are able to financially rationalise the hardware they require by linking additional users to each printer more easily than before," said Steve Purdy, country general manager at Lexmark UK.
 

"Security concerns and technology fears are often unfounded," Purdy added.
