What is Posture?
Posture refers to the position of the human body. While performing work activities, it is assumed that the more a joint deviates from the natural position, the greater the risk of injury. Repetitive Strain Injury is usually associated with awkward posture.

There is a variety of reasons for poor posture such as unsuitable workstations with an inadequate layout for their users. Also, lack of knowledge and experience on how to set up a suitable workstation as well as lack of proper training contribute to poor posture. Finally, poor working habits that remain uncorrected and job designs that require the worker to sit uninterrupted for more than an hour at a time can lead to injuries.
