It's that time of year again. I have to come up with a gift to send to our Leadership Team consisting of about 15 executives. I spend between $100 and $150 each. Does anyone have any unique ideas? Thanks in advance.

Lucky them. Can you include me in your list? - Leather wallet/purse/diary - Case of wine - Docking Clock Radio for ipod/iphone - Hamper - you can get personalised ones - Voucher for their favourite restaurant - Wireless mouse with their name on it - Pen - a good one for the office - Travel Bag - Laptop Bag or ipad cover - Leather belt or silk ties for the men - Perfume for the women - Favourite rugby/football shirt with their name on the back I could go on but not sure exactly what you are looking for.

So the Execs get $100 to $150 dollars to spend on a gift when they probably make 6 figures. $150 is probably a tip in the restaruant they frequent. How about donating the money to a local food bank or shelter in their name. Do they really need a $150 gift when so many people are out there hungrey and homeless in this horrible economy? Really a $150 for an executive gift? Where is you company priorities?

I really like the charity idea. I'm sure the local homeless shelter could use $100 more than the executive will the ipad cover that they will toss in drawer or give to their assistant. If you feel the need to give something as well, I would go with something imprinted with the company name as a token gift, a practical travel item such as a passport cover, or luggage tag.

Nothing like being shot down for giving an honest answer - you can't win on this site.

Do they golf? I know our execs love golf related gifts. Gift certificates to the local country club. If they don't golf they can eat at the club restaurant. For the mid level managers we send nice boxes of Godiva. We have also done more personal gifts for each person. One manager loves skiing, a spa certificate for a few of the ladies (we know they like it). The one thing I like about my situation is we still try to keep it a bit personal and meaning something. Not the engraved paper weight!

You're welcome solecsus.
I can't believe such negative comments on your first posting. If your company is financially well enough off to reward their Execs, who are we to question it?
My company contributes to a different charity every month, so it's best never to assume what you don't know.

Chikky, this wasn't really the place to vent. Solescus has been tasked with a job from her employer and is trying to carry it out.
Solescus, where are you located? I love giving the lobstergrams here in the US. They run roughly $125 ish.
And welcome to the board Solescus. Don't let a little negativity stop you from posting. It wasn't directed at you personally, I'm sure.

Hello Everyone,
I apologize for my meltdown. Has not been a good week for me and it is only Tuesday. I am usually not that negative. My apologies especially to Sole. Welcome to the forums you will like it here. Great advice is given here. Once again sorry for the outburst. Did not mean to offend.

Here we have something called a New England clambake, which is usually done on the beaches. It is a giant pot layered with seafood, seaweed, corn, potatoes, etc. and boiled (on a beach bonfire if you're lucky!). The lobster gram captures the feel of that. They overnight ship freshly caught live lobsters, along with all the fixings mentioned above plus a large stockpot (it can be left out if you know they have one) and claw crackers and bibs. All the recipient has to do is add water and put in on the stove to boil and they've got a new england feast.
They are absolutely delicious. We used to send them to my inlaws all the time and they absolutely loved them.
The lobstergram places have gift certificate options (even e-certificates so you can email them at the last minute) so the recipient can choose the item they want sent (catalog includes things like steaks, desserts, lobster tails from around the world with a variety of 3-10 types, etc. so there are options even if people don't like lobster).
