Is anyone here experiencing any other than rain at the moment?  Here in Scotland we have a lot of rain anyway (why the countryside is so green and what is so attractive to tourists) but here is an example of a mid summer's day in Edinburgh

This morning (21 June!):  woke up and saw it was still very misty outside and extremely wet.  Stopped raining by the time I left the house although still very overcast.

By the time I was driving along the waterfront on my way down to Leith where I work, the sky was blue, fluffy clouds and really brightening up - the weather man was wrong!  No - the mist started blowing in again, grey sky and completely overcast.  Then the sun tried to break through and it brightened up again.

Then (that blasted weatherman was probably right after all!) it really started pelting down rain and was quite dark. It's still wet but not quite so dark outside.  And it's not yet 1 pm.  Roll on the rest of the day.  Oh - I think I've just heard thunder!!!

This is reasonably typical, although it's not usually quite so wet - what is everyone else getting in the way of weather?

Heat, heat and more heat!!!

Had enough rain to cause my lawn to sprout weeds 3 feet tall (overnight, felt like), but that was last week, early last week.

Glad we don't have more rain, as it just causes more humidity, meaning the heat is even more unbearable.  If I was in the mid-west, would't mind the rain, as the days aren't so miserable with humidity already so the rain makes it comfortable.

Not sure I could deal real well with rain, rain, and more rain like that... no matter how green it makes everything.  Smiley

Unfortunately we are practically drought like in our area. We're down for rain and need it badly. Send a bit back here, please... Pretty please?? Smiley

But just a little (don't want flooding!)

Jackie, it'll cost them (especially as I am suffering from the full effects of the 'Natwest/RBS' infection (we get paid out of Natwest bank account and I get paid into my Natwest  bank account)!
