You are confusing me now Gee!!

I posted at 12.51pm but now I look at my post and it says I posted at 1.51pm but I swear it did not say that when I posted.

Will see what this one says - posting at 15:02 (when i really should be working ...)

Gee - my posting says I posted at 3.02pm which is correct - maybe a little bug in the system that you are seeing a different time to what others see?

Are you classed as abroad - only joking Gee, honest  Smiley - but technically you are in a different country and you know how computers get confused.

Try not to get too frustrated - it's only time, which is passing too slowly for me today - sigh  Wink

I am NOT in a different country....I am in the UK!  Angry  My currency has the Queen's head on it!

Your last posting is showing now as 2.07pm so something is definitely not right.

Gee, on the submenu up top, next to Friends, there is a drop down for Settings. If you click that, then Account Settings you can confirm if your time zone is set correctly. Perhaps it has the wrong time zone selected?

Although truthfully, that doesn't seem to work for me. I just made mine Central US and it's showing UK time. I posted at 9:56 a.m. and it's showing as 4:56 p.m.

Marie,

My guess is that whatever country we are in, our postings show local time.  So where you posted at 9.56 that should appear in the UK as 14.56 except that the UK have already put their clocks forward so it should be 15.56.

BTW my pc is showing the correct time in case you are wondering.   Smiley

Actually, it's showing as 3:56, not 4:56. It's definitely not showing local time. I would assume it is showing server time and wherever their server is located is the time zone it is using.

Hopefully Susan will be along shortly to check into it.

Hey Gee - no offence meant  Smiley

I know NI is part of the UK but in my office someone just filled out a form and put they were from England and someone else said, you cannot put that you have to put UK.  But, this colleague was adament that she was English and not just from UK.  I suppose some Welsh and Scottish people may feel the same.  Then again, probably most wouldn't worry one way or the other.

Of course it was then asked what if you come from Northern Ireland, why should you have to class yourself as UK when others can name a country rather then under the umbrella of the UK.  A debate then started as to other areas of the world with a similar problem - I ducked out at this point as my geography of the world is not that strong.  As I type, debate is still going on - someone has even opened a world map........ In the scheme of things not really important but one of those niggles that always seem to crop up

That's ok.  I know some people don't feel we are entitled to call ourselves British so we shall leave it there before this thread veers off.

If you want an answer for your colleagues, I live in NI and I am British.  NI is part of the UK just like England, Scotland and Wales which is why it's called the United Kingdom.

Ok Gee, your last post is at 8.11 and by my watch and PC it's 8.11, so the timings are correct.

Taken on board Marie's suggestion and have changed my time zone to something other than my own.

Let's see what that does.

No difference.  I'm stuck in Ground Hog Day/time zone  Roll Eyes
