Organizational Chart
|
| |
I need to update an organizaton chart that is on 11X17 paper - it's huge!
Power point org charts are not going to cut it here. I've worked with Org Plus and was not too happy with it - but that was three or four years ago. I have hear Visio is great for org charts, but would have to have it loaded on my pc which may or may not be an issue.
Recommendations for org chart programs and if Visio is your choice how user friendly is it? (I'm MOS certified in Word and Excel so I rate myself above the average bear in software skills.)

Visio is what I use for Org Charts, and it's fairly easy to use. I've had no official training on it, and I can manipulate it to get the boxes and lines to line up pretty easily.

I would also suggest Visio if it's a large org chart. It's easy to use and also easy to edit.

I've used SmartDraw for some fairly complicated organizational charts and it's worked well.

I found Visio much easier than Powerpoint for charts. I'm self taught and have used it to create and edit flowcharts for folks here at work. If you can do an Org Chart in .ppt, Visio should be a piece of cake if you can get it loaded.

I'd vote for Visio as well, I'd never used it until my firm sent me on a day's training, and now I use it for all but the most simple org charts. It's so quick and easy to put together even quite complex charts, and although I mainly use it for org charts, there are so many other types you can use it for as well.

I vote for Visio too for large charts. Powerpoint works great for smaller ones. Vision is easy. I too am self taught, and if you can manipulate Powerpoint, Visio will be a breeze.

I will add my vote for Visio, it's a simple program to use for org charts, mine turned out very professional looking with my first try.

Visio here too and you can get the step by step guides from Amazon (although I used ebay for mine).
